American Christians have a major martyr complex where “good, peace-loving” Christians are constantly subjected to the wicked ways of an sinful world, and therefore it is their religious duty to fight against this great evil wherever it exists… but what is “evil” is anything they don’t like. The Bible needn’t specify what that “evil” is, they just know it on its face. And anything that disturbs their peaceful bubble of reality must be evil, even if it’s people protesting to be treated as equals.
